There are more than 8 thousand startup companies in India with women founders. According to a recent report, these companies have raised a total amount of about $ 23 billion so far.

According to Traction’s report, apart from this, there are about 6 thousand companies which have not raised any money. Of those, 590 companies have revenues of more than $30 thousand.

The share of women entrepreneurs in the Indian technology industry is currently more than 18 percent and the share of companies raising funds is more than 14 percent. Despite this, the share of funding raised by women-led startup companies in the country has increased in the last decade, accounting for more than 15 percent of the total startup funding in India from 2020 to 2022.
