Fuel retailing startup company Indo Petroleum Marketing (IPM) will set up 100 petrol pumps across the country within the next five years. The company said on Thursday that it will start its business from Assam.

The Delhi-based company, which started its network to sell various types of fuels in the country, has already made a net worth of Rs 250 crore. “IPM will set up retail shops or petrol pumps across the country to sell the fuel,” IPM founder Gyan Prakash Sharma told PTI here. In the first phase, we will install 100 pumps within five years.

He said the company is the first startup private petroleum marketing company (OMC) authorized by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to commence operations at the grassroots level. Sharma said, “We will start from Assam. We plan to set up five retail outlets in remote areas within the next two years. The first station will open in Jorhat district of Assam. He said that the company is in talks with the Assam government.
