The Ayurveda Experience secures $27 million funding – StartUp News

Singapore’s Jungle Ventures has invested $27 million in The Ayurveda Experience (TAE), a brand that sells Ayurvedic products direct to consumers.

TAE has raised over $41 million (Rs 342 crore) in total funding with latest investments from SIDBI Ventures, Anicut Capital and Sharp Ventures (Mariwala Family Office). Previous investors such as Fireside Ventures and Riverwalk Holdings also funded TAE in an earlier round.

The company will use the fresh funds to strengthen its brand in existing markets, boost customer engagement on its platforms, invest in product research and development (R&D) and expand distribution channels.

TAE Founder and CEO Rishabh Chopra said the money will be used to enhance the group’s research and development (R&D), supply chain and manufacturing capabilities as well as expand distribution channels.

Founded by Chopra in 2010, TAE is the leading direct-to-consumer (D2C) Ayurveda company in North America, Europe, Canada, Australia and India. It has four brands – iYURA, Ajara, A Moderna Naturalis, and Ayuttva – which offer beauty and health products, consultation services, webinars, and courses on Ayurveda. TAE manufactures, sells and distributes these products and services on its platform.

TAE sells products in 20 countries

TAE sells products in 20 countries, with more than 97% of customers purchasing directly from its app and website. Over the past decade, TAE has focused on adapting its products and operations to different markets, especially digitally, while operating mostly from India.

“As India gains global recognition, our entrepreneurs have a great opportunity to build global brands with Indian flavours,” said Arpit Beri, Partner, Jungle Ventures.
